Bacon Bit Bunny Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • your favorite icing
  • food coloring
  • Wellshire Bacon Bits

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, begin to combine sugar and butter until you get a smooth consistency.
  • Next, add your vanilla extract and eggs. Gradually add your flour, salt, and baking soda. Chill your dough for at least an hour.
  • Roll cookies to desired thickness (about half an inch). Use cookie cutters to create Easter cut out shapes.
  • Place cookies on ungreased pan and bake for about 7-10 minutes.
  • Let your cookies cool completely (you may want to chill them in the refrigerator). Add a few drops of food color to any store bought icing (or make your own). Ice the cookies and sprinkle bacon bits on top.
