Bacon Cheese Chicken Tenders
We decided to shake up a staple in kid friendly dinners: chicken tenders! We covered them in two of our favorite things: cheese and bacon! School is fast approaching and we know this means your schedules are about to fill up, and fast! This doesn’t mean you have to compromise on delicious meals though, so be sure to try this out for a simple, yet fun dinner!

Bacon Cheese Chicken Tenders
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup plain panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar-Gouda cheese mix (it is important to use finely grated cheese - it works a lot better with the fine grate than a larger grate!)
- 1 3oz package Wellshire Bacon Bits
- 1 package uncooked chicken tenders
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Cover large cookie sheet with aluminum foil for simple clean up, and spray that with cooking spray.
- In a shallow bowl, beat the egg.
- In a large bowl, place bread crumbs, cheese and bacon bits. Mix to combine.
- Dip each chicken tender into the beaten egg.
- Dredge each chicken tender in breadcrumb mixture until coated thoroughly.
- Place chicken on the cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning once half-way through cooking, until chicken is no longer pink in the center and bread crumbs are golden brown.
