Bacon Wrapped Puff Pastry
Ingredients
- 2 puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 12 strips Wellshire Thick Sliced Bacon
- 2oz cream cheese softened
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Lay out one sheet of puff pastry. Brush with the beaten egg.
- Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread mixture on top of pastry.
- Place the second sheet of pastry over top of the first. Press together and seal around the edges.
- Cut pastry into 12 long pieces.
- Wrap each pastry pieces with a piece of bacon.
- Set the bacon wrapped pastry pieces on a baking sheet. Bake for 35 minutes, until pastry is browned and bacon is crispy.
- Mix together cream cheese and butter until combined. Add powdered sugar and milk, mix until smooth.
- Drizzle icing over pastry pieces and enjoy!
