Cheddar Bacon Brown Butter Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup Wellshire Bacon Bits
- 1 egg beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and paprika to a large bowl, creating a well in the center.
- Brown butter over medium heat on stovetop. Watch carefully so the milk fats don't burn.
- Add butter, milk, cheese, and bacon bits to dry ingredients.
- Mix gently until ingredients are just combined. Your dough should be wet and sticky.
- Place dough on baking sheet using an ice cream scoop.
- Optional: paint biscuits with egg wash prior to putting into the oven.
- Bake until biscuits are golden brown, 20-22 minutes.
