Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Wellshire Bacon Bits
  • 1 egg beaten

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and paprika to a large bowl, creating a well in the center.
  • Brown butter over medium heat on stovetop. Watch carefully so the milk fats don't burn.
  • Add butter, milk, cheese, and bacon bits to dry ingredients.
  • Mix gently until ingredients are just combined. Your dough should be wet and sticky.
  • Place dough on baking sheet using an ice cream scoop.
  • Optional: paint biscuits with egg wash prior to putting into the oven.
  • Bake until biscuits are golden brown, 20-22 minutes.
