Instructions
Candy the bacon
  1. Spread the bacon bits over a foil covered baking sheet.
  2. Cover the bacon bits with a thin layer of brown sugar.
  3. Bake for 12 minutes at 425. Watch carefully after minute 10, as this can burn quickly! Let cool.
Make the cookie dough
  1. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Cream together the melted butter and sugars with a mixer.
  3. Whisk together the milk, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the egg mixture to the butter and sugar. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  5. Add the flour to the wet ingredients gradually, mixing until well incorporated.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and the candied bacon bits. Mix together by hand.
  7. Chill the dough for one hour.
  8. Heat oven to 375. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop out the dough, with your favorite cookie scoop, onto the cookie sheets.
  10. Bake sheets 2 at a time for 15 minutes, rotating the pans at the half-way point.
  11. Transfer parchment sheets to a cooling rack for at least 5 minutes before eating.
