Red Velvet Waffles with Sausage
Halloween is here! Time for a fun new breakfast recipe to get you in the spirit! Try these Red Velvet Waffles, topped with spider sausage patties! Creepy and crawly, but also delicious and fluffy and full of great flavor! Candy is calling, from Mary Jane’s to Reese’s to Snickers! Make these waffles (or pancakes work too!) for your family this Halloween morning in preparation for trick or treating!

Red Velvet Waffles with Sausage
Ingredients
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/4 cup milk
- nonstick cooking spray
- 4 tbsp cream cheese softened
- 2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 package Wellshire Frozen Breakfast Sausage Patties
Instructions
- Preheat waffle maker on medium heat.
- In a large bowl, mix cake mix, cinnamon, eggs, and 2 cups of milk. Whisk until fully combined and smooth.
- Spray waffle maker with nonstick cooking spray. Make waffles according to waffle iron instructions. Waffles will come out very cakey and tender.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and remaining 1/4 cup of milk. Mix with a hand or stand mixer until smooth.
- Heat sausage patties according to package directions.
- Using a 2.5" spider-shaped metal cookie cutter, carefully cut out spider shape from the patty. Set aside.
- Plate the waffles. Drizzle with cream cheese glaze in a spiderweb shape. Place spider patty in the center. Enjoy!
