Salted Caramel Bacon Popcorn

Salted Caramel Bacon Popcorn
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 3oz plain popcorn prepared using your favorite method (1 bag if using the microwave)
- 1 package Wellshire Bacon Bits
Instructions
- Add sugar and water to a saucepan and cook over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves.
- Raise the heat until sugar mixture comes to a boil. Stir pan constantly for about 10 minutes as the sugar mixture starts to golden.
- Once sugar is brown, add butter and heavy cream. It will bubble up. Stir continuously until blended completely. Add salt and mix. Set the caramel mixture aside to cool.
- Prepare the popcorn using your favorite method. After fully popped, put popcorn in a bowl.
- Pour caramel sauce all over the popcorn. Next sprinkle the bacon bits on top as well. Mix together until all the toppings are well distributed. Enjoy!
