Bacon Smoothie Bowls

The summer sun is in full force and things are heating up fast! Which means we’re all looking for ways to cool down. Ice cream and water ice are the usual go-to’s for some summer treats, but they’re not always the healthiest or easiest options to fit into our diet restrictions. Don’t worry though, we’ve found a perfect (and really delicious!) alternative for you and your families – bacon smoothie bowls! A chill way to not only beat the heat, but also re-energize amidst your busy schedules.

We also wanted to find a new creative way to use our bacon bits, smoothie bowls are a great way to do just that! These bowls are created with all natural ingredients because we know how important this is when it comes to feeding your families! Get everyone ready to go in the morning with an energy boost or try it out during a well deserved break to recharge. Everyone will be asking for more!

We had some fun at the office decorating our own smoothie bowls to fit our unique tastes. We have 3 different recipes for you to try listed below. Have fun decorating your smoothie bowls and feel free to get creative with your toppings! Just don’t forget the bacon bits!

Paleo Pineapple Smoothie Bowl

  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 cups frozen pineapples
  • 2 tbsp honey (optional)


Paleo Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie Bowl

  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (or fresh if you have it)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate almond milk (or regular)
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp chocolate protein powder (optional, or add more cocoa)


Keto Strawberry Smoothie Bowl

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries



Paleo Pineapple Smoothie Bowl - for anyone ready for a tropical breeze!

  • In a blender, add the almond milk, banana, pineapple and honey, in that order. Blend on low speed until the mixture is thick and creamy. You may have to tamp it down to help it blend evenly. Transfer to a bowl and let it set in the freezer while you prepare your toppings.
  • To serve, top with bananas, pineapple, coconut, chia seeds, Wellshire Bacon Bits, dragon fruit, and a good drizzle of honey.

Paleo Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie Bowl - for anyone who always says no to dessert, it's time to say yes!

  • Blend the ice, strawberries, almond milk, cocoa powder, and protein powder (if using) until smooth. (You'll get a thicker consistency if your strawberries are frozen)
  • If you like it extra sweet, you can add a little stevia or sweetener.
  • Pour into a bowl and top with fresh strawberries, Wellshire Bacon Bits, and cacao nibs.

Keto Strawberry Smoothie Bowl - for anyone excited for summer berries!

  • Blend cottage cheese and frozen berries in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  • Pour into a bowl and top with chia seeds, almonds, dragon fruit, and Wellshire Bacon Bits.
